Not so girly.

Hi. I’ll pretend it hasn’t been one year, and the previous image of the yellow shoes and autumn leaves were taken last week. On we go.

Here’s a warm weather session on the sand with a robust bunch of sisters.

Goodbye Autumn.

See you next year. It was all too fleeting.

Sunshine.

I hope this post brings you some sunshine and salt air.

No trail map needed.

This lovely family took me on a hike to their favourite spot in the rainforest, where they have spent a lot of fab time together exploring and relaxing over the years. So it was fitting for them that they had their images taken here. It was a hot day and the kids (and mum and dad) cooled off in the chilled flowing water. (water fight) (think slippery rocks) Luckily there were no broken tail bones and even I managed to select the right rocks to perch on to get some shots, albeit a few near misses. Lake Elizabeth is near Forrest, and is an easy one hour and a half drive from Geelong. The hike is not too far for children, there is a picnic area at the start and tent camping next to the river. (you need to carry your gear a few hundred metres from the carpark) Be sure to check out the Forrest brewing company for lunch and a cold beer.

that winter light.

Wow, looking back on a session that I hadn’t yet posted, I was awed by the beautiful winter light. It’s not quite calling me to want to rug up and light the fire, but I’m sure as summer rolls on and we experience some week long scorchers, i’ll be looking at these shots with envy!  In addition to that, I’m getting an overwhelming urge to take some images like these again but next time including a missing element. A horse. I’d love it if someone who owns a horse (and some children) would book a session. Any takers? You have six months to think about it..

Beautiful cousins sharing a magical afternoon together.

“I’m going to be an engineer”

What a cutie, the headband is her favourite, and you have to have  favourite things when you are 4. Her brother wants to be an engineer, as he announced to me during our session,  and judging by the highly technical creation he was working on whilst we had our booking consultation, he’s well on the way there!  We spent the session exploring some beach side spots and being blown around by the wind, finding ourselves at the end of the session photographing in the rain for the final images. No complaints from these guys.

Proud Auntie

Im extremely excited to share some images of my nephew Lennox, taken a little shy of 3 days old. Isn’t he yummy? I could eat him right up!

Contemplation.

So much expression in their little eyebrows when they suck their thumb.
